Profile of the special alloy radiator for LED road lights

According to the "National long-germ Science and Technology Development Plan(2006-2020)" issued by the State Council, the energy efficient, long life LED is included in the first key area. The "National LED Project" jointly organized and implemented by the Ministry of Science and Technology,  Ministry of Information Industry "Eleventh Five-Year" plan proposes the goal of energy-saving and pollution reduction,  and takes it as the binding target, which has promoted the change in the mode of economic growth,  and has great significance to strengthen energy-saving environmental protection.

Affected by the policy and market, in the lighting industry, the new energy-saving product-LED(light-emitting diode) has been the center of attention, with its outstanding energy-saving effect and rich colors, LED is widely used in the fields of decorative lighting and auxiliary lighting. The technological breakthroughs have made LED suitable for the general lighting, particularly suitable for roadlighting applications and development.

However, technical requirements of the road lighting for the LED can not be compared with the technical requirements need for decorative lighting and auxiliary lighting. Contrary to the decorative lighting and auxiliary lighting, the general lighting usually has relatively large illuminated area, thus it requies the light source has adequate luminous flux. At present, the luminous flux of the single high-power Led still has a gap with the fluorescent, HID, and other main light sources, if using multi high-power LED, then the heat will be a bottleneck, the work environment of good heat radiation will determine the service life of LED.

As for the general lighting area, especially the road lighting , it currently uses high-power and high brightness LED, and the head cavity of the road lamp is designed with dozens or even hundreds of LED dot-matrix, in order to meet the need for road lighting at night, in such interonment, the heat distributed is several times more than that of the traditional low-power LED.LED is the light source that can give full play to its features and effect6s under suitable working environment, while the traditional aluminum radiator can not meet the actual need of the high-power and high brightness LED for the road lighting.

With regard to the bottleneck faced by the high-power and high brightness LED in road lighting application, after long-term cycle test, our factory uses a new matching method and smelting to produce a special alloy to address the heat dissipation issue of LED in road lighting. After calulation, the heat transfer coefficient of this special alloy radiator has nearly doubled than the previous aluminum radiators, which has reached to 300(w/mc),and the tensile strength has increased by nearly one third compared to that of ghe aluminum radiator. We firmly believe that this new special alloy radiator for LED will be able to provide a more suitable working environ ment for LED, and will give full play to its features, such as high efficiency, long service life, non-mercury-harm,non-IR and UV radiation,colouful, easy to control and so on, and it will become the ideal light source for the green lighting field.
